Since its inception in 1969, the studio has become widely recognized for employing conceptual and technical innovations to address particular project demands.
Public work may be viewed at Sly McFly's restaurant on Cannery Row in Monterey, California and at Magicopolis Magic Theatre in Santa Monica, California.
In 1981 Forbes compiled a book displaying many of the studio's unusual projects. The Art Glass Windows of Bonny Doon sold out 25,000 copies.
The projects from the past two decades were largely private commissions and showings for private homes. In 1992 Forbes and his crew were selected to travel to Mallorca to restore the original glass in the Grand Hotel de Mallorca, a prestigious and culturally significant Art Nouveau style structure built in 1902.
The studio's repretoire expanded in the 90's to include 3 dimensional stained glass automobile sculptures.
